    Equally chuffed with myself - cost me €26 and €4 postage.... It would cost a minimum of €80 to get someone out and that's before they'd even start!

    It was really simple, I just googled for youtube clips on how to install (include the make of your tumble dryer in the search). If you've got the same machine as me, you will have a little hole to pull the cables through. Then you just unclip each wire and replace.

    I'm not brilliant at these things but I found it very straight forward and the whole thing took about 5 minutes. I was chuffed to bits as in total the repair only cost me £22 for a 5 year old machine.
