Profile & Contour Sanding HELP.

Hi, Starting work on a victorian era house with original doors and dado rails.
What's have people found to be the best method of sanding the profiles as owners want to keep it all original so need top remove the old paint and with all the contours heat gun isn't going to cut it.

Appreciate any recommendations.
