How can I remove the door from these hinges?

Wedge door so it don't drop and unscrew hinges. Last screw to remove will be the top one. That's my guess as not my area. See if that gets confirmed. More pictures may help

    broken screed issue

Dig up and concrete in. Depending on depth you can buy floor screed in bags and add water to mix, or by concrete ready to mix. I don't think you can dry it out very quickly. A summer fan with blow air and dry it but force drying may crack it. I'd think it will need a few days to fully dry.

    bathroom wall prep for re-paint

That's either condensation marks or water splashes. Could also be from spray cleaners. Hard to say but my wife splashes a bit with her long hair. Damp wash over and paint. Should be fine.

    Salvaging a rusty radiator

Unless you remove all the rust and paint, it won't last a month before it's starts corroding. I replaced mine last year with a cheap one. Stainless steel are the best but too expensive. Mine was a big one and only cost £70.

Is there an easy way to reduce noise transmission?

No.soundproofing is all or nothing. There are some carpet underlays that help reduce sound but it doesn't do much. You need ceiling resilient bars and sound blocking plasterboard ect.

how bad does a house have to be before you wont work in it?

30+ dogs was the worst place I worked in. Smell was terrible and I was in the new extension. Self employed I was never lucky enough to have so much work I could turn anything away tbh.
