Looks way over sized to me, most uk properties have a heat loss under 10kw. I recommend you do a heat loss calculation on your property and ask the installer for a copy of theirs.
Not tried them but I can’t see how they can be cost effective at £4 each when I am paying just 55p for a non rechargeable battery which lasts 12-18 months in my Wiser TRV’s. It would take roughly 6-9 years to break even.

My advice is don’t buy cheap and buy a decent water softener. I have just replaced a 28 year old Waterside mains powered softener with a Harvey M3 Minimax and it’s great. It is a mains powered metered unit.
Some systems have an additional pump and some rely on the pump in the ASHP, it depends on the overall system design, heat pump rating, flow temperatures, floor coverings, DHW requirement, etc.
Smart TRV’s don’t work very well IME, I have Drayton Wiser, but a lot of people swear by them.
